What’s Your Plan?

So, this week I have a question for you…
Do you want more profit or more fun in your business❓
Of course, the right answer is both 😉
More profit is of course tangible…
Where would you score yourself on this scale❓
How much profit are you currently making❓
How much do you want to make and by when❓
Now we have a gap and whenever we have a gap we simply need to create a plan to close the gap…
Simple right❓
If you’re currently sitting in your car in Manchester and you want to arrive in London you know the gap is 200 miles…
It’s easy then to identify the easiest route M6 and M1 approx 4 hours and 10 minutes…
Of course, that doesn’t allow for any roadblocks along the way, traffic jams, or comfort breaks but you can build those in and arrive at your destination at your desired time…
It’s the same with profit…
Based on the current numbers in your business how many additional sales do you need to make❓
How could you cut your outgoings what could get in your way❓
Rising interest rates, higher prices, the list goes on❓
But, creating a Profit Plan is pretty straight forward wouldn’t you agree❓
We all have a different idea of what fun is🤔
So how do you create a plan for more fun in your business❓
You could start with a Fun/Skills matrix where you map out the high fun high skill tasks in your business and then build a plan to delegate the low fun low skill tasks…
The biggest challenge I find here is that most people don’t delegate they abdicate and then conclude that no one can do the task as well as they can so they’ll just have to do it themselves😞
Sound familiar❓
Not only is this going to constrict your fun it’s also going to constrict the growth and value of your business you’re never going to be able to walk away from it or find a buyer for it if you are the hub of the business…
Your team will have a different idea of what fun is…
Have you ever asked them how working alongside you could be more fun❓
It’s been said that a happy team is a productive team 😊
A productive team is more effective and works more efficiently which in turn makes more profit😊😊
It’s a win-win…
Do you have a plan for more fun in your business not just for you but for your team, your customers, and your suppliers❓
Don’t worry not many business owners do…
But, I would strongly suggest you put one together, the sooner the better…
It’s been a tough couple of years for most of us 🙄
And
There is no sign of things getting much better…
Which means we’re going to take the bull by the horns and do something about it…
We’re going to have to be proactive…
And
Take responsibility for the Profit and Fun in our businesses…
