Cash is KING🤴

We all know that right ❓

Nine times out of ten when I start working with a client they ask me to help them get more sales…

***Sales are great of course they are without them we wouldn’t have a business…

Without PROFIT and CASH we wouldn’t have a business either…

So, given that we need all three in your business where do you start SALES, PROFIT, CASH❓

One of the first things I do with a new client is to look at their P&L…

If they are savvy they get this every month, how often do you get yours❓

However, the P&L is simply a video of what has past in the business…

It’s full of gold, helping you to identify what has gone well or not so well since you last looked at it which is why you need to be looking at this at least on a monthly basis…

It clearly lays out your SALES, subtracts your spending to give you your PROFIT which once added to your opening bank balance should in theory be the CASH in your bank…

Simple right❓

If that’s not the case then something has gone wrong with this very simple system…

You may not have recorded all your SALES…

You may not have recorded all your EXPENCES…

You may not have collected all your CASH…

Where does your system fall over❓

There’s no right or wrong answer here, in fact in most cases it’s a combination of all three…

The challenge for most people is that if there is CASH in the bank life is good, they plod along doing what they always do until the TAX bill arrives and there isn’t enough CASH in the bank to pay it…

Sound familiar❓

All is not lost we simply need to implement a better system…

This means going back to basics…

Make sure your PROFIT is turned into CASH in your bank…

A simple ‘CASHFLOW’ forecasting system will give you all the information you need to do this…

However, what I usually find is that this open’s a whole new can of worms…

PROFIT…

Why aren’t you making as much of that as you thought you were❓

PROFIT is a Theory FACT…

Your business is like a leaky bucket…

Your PROFIT will be leaking out of YOUR bucket, I promise you it will…

This has always been the case for most businesses…
